The ThalMesata

They came from another part of the spiral arm of the Galaxy, in their massive battle sphere. Landing directly over Des Moines, destroying it in the process, they declared the Earth theirs. Humans, being what and who they are, promptly blew all of them, and their ship, to hell. Well, almost all of them, all but two, Phenntta and Tesska. Then, as humans tend to do, they rewarded these two remaining invading aliens, giving them jobs, wealth, freedom, and a life they had only dreamt of. But what do you do when their cousins come calling, wondering what happened to their relatives that came before.
Bentley Tomlinson was a geek. Small, smart, and savvy, he quickly saw opportunity in chaos, and proceeded to profit from this new development. While the Earth build warships to blow the incoming Thalmesatians from the sky, he built a trading ship, and went calling to get the Thalmesatians to sign a trade agreement, and of course a peace treaty. But things seldom go as planned, and Bentley, instead, had to get them to surrender their six mile diameter battle sphere. So, he promptly threatened them with total destruction. Yes, he only had his measly, minimally armed, trading ship, and sure it was unfair odds. But if the Thalmesatian’s won’t listen to reason, they would just have to deal with being at a disadvantage.
