The invasion was thwarted and Bentley has a new ally in Berrittayya and Allatta, and other unexpected new friends as well. But there are other schemes afoot on Earth. The Rulers have not been idle and plots abound. But Bentley has plans of his own, it’s just who to trust. Earth was in the process of developing its own version of Gravity Drive, and interstellar travel is just over the horizon. Allatta was born again and having all the problems associated with the adjustment of any adolescent body development. The Rulers have plans within plans, and millennia of preparation was not easily defeated. But the Rulers had never dealt with humans before. Stubborn, inconsistent, and unpredictable, humans were a royal pain in the keister. But while the Rulers may have lost the first round, they were still standing, and in the fight.
